About Us

Bueno Bean Roasterie is a micro-roaster dedicated to providing customers with freshly-roasted 100% Fair Trade Organic Coffee. For those customers seeking a coffee alternative, we also offer a selection of teas and yerba mate, which we import directly from Paraguay.

Bueno Bean is a family-owned and operated business, located just north of beautiful Kingston, Ontario. As a micro-roaster, we roast all coffees - by hand - in small batches, to ensure that your coffee is as fresh as it can possibly be.

We purchase our green coffee from a coffee-broker that is as committed to sustainability and quality as we are. The coffee is Fair Trade certified by Transfair Canada and the Organic Certification meets all the stringent Organic Processor Standards enforced by North American regulatory authorities.

We are committed to the idea of community - whether that community is thousands of miles away or the one that we call home. In addition to participation in Fair Trade practices, we participate in the Café Femenino project, which provides women farmers in Peru a premium for their coffee to assist them in their struggle for financial independence and equality. The local community in Kingston, Ontario benefits as well, as a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Café Femenino is donated to a local women's shelter.
